Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Skye Taylor — a professional artist with over 55 years of experience creating original paintings that speak to the soul. I’ve been painting since 1968, and my passion for bold, expressive art has taken me on an incredible journey across the world.
Over the years, my work has won numerous awards and been featured in a wide range of spaces — from private homes and restaurants to office buildings, Hollywood studios, and even a sports stadium in Hong Kong. I’ve had the honor of creating special pieces for two well-known celebrities, and I was once commissioned to paint 28 originals for an entire corporate office. I’ve also worked one-on-one with interior designers in the Chicagoland area, helping them bring custom visions to life for their clients.
My paintings have been reproduced and sold on metal through retailers like Walmart and Overstock.com, giving my work broad public and commercial exposure. But at the heart of it all, I’m still most passionate about creating original, one-of-a-kind pieces that connect with people in a meaningful way.
Whether you’re a collector, a designer, or just someone who connects with bold, abstract work — I’m glad you’re here. Every painting I create is rooted in decades of experience, emotion, and artistic exploration. I hope one of them speaks to you.

The commitment to excellence is evident in every brushstroke, creating a work that not only enriches your collection but becomes a statement of your appreciation for rare, enduring value and artistry.
